The Ro al Court Terri Carter, sophomore Richard Lee, senior 1979 Homecoming Queen Tammy Helms, senior 1979 Homecoming King Larry Henderson, senior The 1979 Roughneck Royalty rode around the track in a white convertible to be crowned in front of the home stands. The queen candidates carried out school tradition by wearing vel- vet formals in school colors. The mums were worn in contrast to dress colors, and the king candi- dates wore their football suits adorned with lacy garters on their right arms. Terri Carter, sophomore attendant, wore red and was escorted by Richard Lee, Senior. Shelly Fariss, junior attendant, wore white and was escorted by Larry Carter, senior.
