1928-1978 . . . Sundown School District was organized in 1928. The Board of Education borrowed 53,200 51,800 was spent for the con- struction ofa four room building which served as the school and a teacherage. The remaining 51,400 was spent to drill a well and furnish a windmill, desk, and other equipment necessary to initiate the school. Today, on the same site stands a building second to none in the State of Texas. Some Faces Seen at the IBirthday Celebration Fonswono We have a feeling of pride in our beautiful new facilities, and a deep appreciation for those who made them possible. We realize that we are fortu- nate to be students in Sundown Schools.
