Cheerleaders Games would have been dull indeed without Cheerleaders to keep our spirits high. These girls were seen before, dur- ing, and after games - a blaze of red, white, and blue, cheering the players. Their skits for pep rallies, the hall dec- orations, and the long hours of prepara- tion did not go unnoticed. We commend them for a job well done. Games 1978-79 was a high-low year for SPORTS. Losing came more often than coaches, players, and fans would like to have seen it, however we stayed in there and fought to the very end. The ability to hold our heads high, even when we left the gym.or the stadium with a loss, did not come easily, but it did come!! We upheld the motto, Sportsmanship, then Victory. We thank our fans for their loyal support. Just suppose for a moment that the stands were empty, that no shout of enthusiasm rewarded exceptional good plays, that no jeer of derision put new determination into faint hearts and new vigor into failing arms and legs.
