New Boss Tackles Old Job The completion of the new educational facility is only the beginning of great experiences for Sundown students. Congratulations are in order for the citizens of Sundown and the emphasis they have placed on Sundown's future growth and the education of today's youth. Lasater THE LASATER FAMILY Seated: Laurie and Mr. Lasater Standing: Marianne and Mrs. Lasater. The Lasaters came to us from Hobbs, New Mexico where they had lived for the past 16 years. We are happy to have them as a part of our school system and our community. Mr. Lasater taught English in Junior High before becoming affiliated with the Public Rel- ations Department in Hobbs schools. He served as Elementary Principal for four years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lasater, Julia, hold B.A. degrees from Hardin Simmons University, Abi- Iene, Texas. Mr. Lasater received his M.A. and Ed.S degree from Eastern New Mexico Univer- sity. Marianne graduated with high honors. She plans to attend Texas Tech in the fall. Laurie completed her sophomore year at Sundown. We believe that Sundown Schools have all of these ingredients. And, if during THE GOLDEN YEAR and each successive year, we plan wisely, work diligently, devote ade- quate time and thought to carrying out our purposes and program of work, our future will be greater than the past.

Mr. Williams came to us from Jayton where he served as Busi- ness Administrator for the Tele- phone Company. Mr. McSpadden assumed the same position here that he had held at Ropes.
