In later years, as you glance over the pages of THE EYRIE, you will be re-united with your classmates. You will thank your wonderful counselors and teachers for the advice and knowl- edge they passed on to youg you will re-enact the good times that you had working at all the activities which will never be forgotten. You will once again feel the excitement of gradua- tion, mingled with a sorrow at leaving your school and class- mates. Thus you can fully realize the purpose of this yearbook- --To preserve the happy memories of Sundeen High School. As a coach. . . person We, the annual staff, dedicate the 1958 issue of the Eyrie to you, Coach Sonny Norrell. Your good sportsmanship and high morale have instilled in us the desire to be victorious but to be able to accept defeat and to show loyalty and respect for our school. Although these words are inadequate to express our grati- tude for having had you as one of our owng they will serve as an expression of appreciation for your fine and spirited leader- ship. . , E gg? Now as you leave Sundeen, our country is going through a period of adjustment due to prospects of travel in the outer spaces. I am confident that you will be prepared to meet the challenges of today. I sincerely hope that as you go through life you realize the part played by the classroom teachers that you have known during your education. Each year it is with regret that I find the time is here when another class is departing from the sceneg yet it gives me great pleasure at the same time to see another fine group of young people 9 such as you going out to take their place in their community and be the leaders of tomorrow. My association with you has been a pleasure. BeSt of wishes to all of you. , wtf I. M. P earce Superintendent 5 if-. sam, A 4 4- ' MR. JOHN T. RASCOE Director of Curriculum MRS.
