S. were thrown open to the Umeek and lowly Freshmen, a large number decided to make the Scientific Course their forte during their High School Career. w-'sz Eats During the first year, undaunted by the taunts of the upper class- men and none the worse for the pranks played upon us, we studied dili0'ently in the hope of winning a secure footing which might fit us for X955 O the next three years. As the months passed we became more accustomed S to our change in environment until we were rewarded, at the end of the year, by the reality that we were no longer mere Freshies. As Sophomores, new interests were taken in our surroundings. We contributed boys and girls to the various activities, both scholastoc and athletic, developing fine material for the years to follow. Even though the 'fgreenv might still have been faintly detected, we competed in various contest rankinv' hiffh and showing we truly belonged to Soon after this we were full-fledged Juniors, realizing more and more the need to participate in the affairs and contests of the school which might aid in preparing us for the real life of the future. The section increased, due to changes in courses, until it was composed of fifty per cent of the entire class, thus indicating, that, as each year passed, more desire was created to continue our education. Moreover, U 5 . . . - Er' 5 XS each did his art in the benefits socials, bazaars and plays conducted to X P 5 x raise funds for the Iunior Senior Banquet Then dawned an important year! Seniors! It was necessary now NN to put aside all foolishness, to assume our part as leaders, to further xi cooperate with all, to increase our efforts to reach our goal, and to gxss help make our class one of the best to graduate. The time draws near when the true test will come. VVill we fail or will we prove our time was not spent in vain? Only the future can tell, but the materials and the ambitions are there, in truth we seem ...- - . :Sei X lacking only 111 experience which comes with practice and hard labor, and which, we feel sure, will act as an incentive and not as a detriment. In these four short vea-rs life-long friendships have been formed, many talents have beentdiscovered, but the future will tell if they are developed and if the goal has been attained. Some will take heed from their elders, Others will fall by thctsideg But the ultimate test comes Wheii one by one, ss . . They succeed 111 keeping the stride.
