PRINCIPAL SUN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY ASTON, PENNSYLVANIA To the Seniors of 1979: The Class of 1979 is special to me in that I ha ve worked with your class for my first three years at Sun Valley. During that time I have come to know many of you very well, and I have enjoyed watch- ing your development from sophomore to senior. The Class of 1979 has experienced a difficult and disjointed year; however, the class has been able to compile achievements and reach distinc- tions in academics and activities. The class has responded to the extra demands placed upon it for leadership, maturity, and pose. You have achieved unity through the strength and concern of your leaders and the cooperation and sensi- tivity of individuals. You have responded successfully to tremendous challenges during your three years at Sun Valley. I trust that the maturing and growing that you have done will aid you throughout your life and that, you will remember your three years at Sun Valley fondly. I wish you continued success in life. Charles B. Fitzgerald Principal CHARLES R FIT7GFRAI D Principii! of Sun Valley High School Perhaps the single most respected figure at Sun Valley is our principal, Mr. Charles Fitzgerald. He has been our guiding source of strength throughout the three years since he came to us. Dignified, refined, and helpful, he has at all times been available to work out our problems, counsel us, and make the best decisions concerning our individual welfare. In his position as principal and friend, we ha ve depended on his leadership. A prin- cipal's duties are almost limitless, extending from early morning parent consultations to late after- noon disciplinary actions. Mr. Fitzgerald has done all this and much more. This year especially, he expanded his responsibilities. Always striving to enhance our education and ourselves, Mr. Fitz- gerald will be best remembered by the Class of 1979 for the individual attention he paid to each one of us. 9
