Principar s Message MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL In a book entitled The Secret Garden by Frances Burnett, which I recently read, I came upon a sentence of such simple truth but great impact that I wish to pass it on to you. I pray that its implications and ramifications shall serve as the capstone of your learning. The writer states, At first people refuse to believe that a strange new thing can be done; then they begin to hope it can be done; then it is done and all the world wonders why it was not done centuries ago.” The message, as I see it for our Sun Valley graduating class, is this: dream boldly; believe implicity in that dream; work tirelessly for its realization. In this dynamic era in which we now live, the human mind can scarcely con- ceive of anything that is impossible of human achievement. We, ourselves, may never spin into reality the things we envision, but, if it is worth doing and has value for society, someone is going to do it. Remember, it can be done! We at Penn-Delco, and specifically at Sun Valley High School, have tried to provide you with the intellectual equipment for realizing your dream. This is the beginning. The courage, the tenacity and the faith that you need, you must find within yourself. Finding them is the superb culmination we wish for you. Benjamin H. Napier 6
