Epilogue In PARAGON '7 2 our theme has been communication. To promote this theme we have used the elementary ABC's, which compose words, on the cover and division pages, to show the beginning of your learning to communicate through your last years of work and play. Hopefully, you will realize this while looking through your yearbook. Changes have taken place, to better suit the school year. The summer supple- ment, coming out in July, will cover actual Jr.-Sr. Prom, Spring Sports, and Gradua- tion. Teachers have been treated as 4'People'l this year. Their vital contributions are portrayed through our new 4'Academics section, and throughout the organization section. Headlines from '71-'72 COCK'S QUILL, the school newspaper, cover the endsheets to emphasize highlights of the year. In trying to present each student's Sumter High, we have added more candids through the collages on the division pages. We have omitted the Beauties section, in hopes of showing the beauty of the student body. We have tried to present your '71-'72 year. Laughing, playing, crying, relaxing, working, learning, living . . . we all go through these stages. In the future, the bad moments will be forgotten and all of the remember when . . .s will include only our happiness. Our happiness . . . being with people, talking with people, meeting people . . . COMMUNICATING! As Editors-in-Chief, we would like to say a simple, but heart-felt, Hthanksi' to all of our hard- working and dependable staff. Our hours of planning, working, disappointment, pressure, and Burger Chef hamburgers have produced only because our advisor, Mrs. Eloise Howard, has been patient, devoted, efficient - simply fantastic! Cornelia Bryan Elaine McBride Editors-in-Chief The staff's warmest thanks go to Delmar Publishing Company, and our publisher representative, Mr. Horace Black- ston, for guiding us through these changes, and helping co-ordinate division pages with the cover. With the number of pictures needed, much photography has been involved, and we appreciate Chip Finney's and Jimmy Readingls work. And, of course, to the Honorable Harold Truesdale, Esq. we present unaffected gratitude for his willingness to take our bossiness, sarcasm, and requests for unusual pictures. Wasn't it fun? Let's do it again! -. I 248 . . . Epilogue
