Junior Football High The boys playing on the grade school team will some day be the boys playing on the varsity and reserve teams in years to come, and the Sumner school has believed that the boys should have some athletics while still in grade school. Mr. B. W. Stafford coached the boys in football and Mr. Leonard Garlick is coaching the basketball team. The grade school played only one game this year and that was against the Pleasanton grade school. The small Trojans were defeated by the large margin of 46 to 6. While only playing one game the boys still practiced twice a week and learned the funda- nfientals of the game. Basketball The grade school basketball team have a separated schedule from the high school They haxe play ed five games and have won three and lost two ball games They will participate in thc Wood River Valley Grade S hool basketball tournament at Rixerdale RECORD Eddy ville Miller Callaway Pleasanton Odessa Track The grade school will go to two track meets this year the Dawson County and the Sumner Invitational In the Dawson County track meet the Sumner boys will compete against schools like Lexington Cozad Gothemberg Overton and Sumner It will be around the first week of April The other track meet will be held at Sumner lt is the annual Sumner Invitational in which all of the schools of the conference compete f it-E2-.iq-11, fs NL, 3C Z6 f ' 15 24 ' 3 19 ZZ Z3 Z5 28 21
