JUNIOR CLASS Front Row Pearl Watson Betty Martin Virginia Bean Juanita Martin Olue Bunker Second Row Frank Lounder Emily Farrm Dorothy Lindsay Exerett Stuart Jeannette Nash Anna Bean Malcolm Urann CLASS OFFICERS Vice president Malcolm Urann Secretary Olive Bunker Treasurer Juanita Martin The Junior class enrolled this year with thirteen members Barbara Robbrns left to go south but Ba bara Jelhson Joined us le lung the same number Although there lave been thrrteen throughout the year x e have had no bad luck Pearle Wat on and Barbara Jelhson rep resented us in the public speaking contest 'Iwo of the members Anna Bean and Ollvr Bunker are on the Student Council During one of the home room periods Barbara Jelhson told us about the school Niagara Falls She made this very interest mg by showing photographs which she had taken The names of Emily Farrin Dorothy Lind ey and Barbara Jelhson have appeared on the honor roll The class regrets that Barbara Jelhson who transferred from a New York school last fall had to return before the school year closed The Juniors are sponsorrng the Senior and Junior ball which will be held some time during the week of graduatlon K ' , Y--Y, .,, . 1' I I, I I' President. .................... 12 THE HARBOR BEACON Willard, Camden Sargent, jr., and Miriam Gordon. The annual Speaking Contest was held, in which members of all four ships took yart. From our ship George Ober and Mir- iam Gordon were the speakers. Miriam 'von the first prize. To keep in shape a basketball team was organized on board ship The sailors on it were Elmer Willard Monte Williams George Ob r B1lly Estabrook and Camden Sargent All the sophomore sailors were on the ball team Our ship IS a large one so you see we have plenty of room for physical education. One night the captain called us all on the deck. He told us that in a week we had to dock for an examination and inspection. We had been going with the breeze and would have to hurry to make it in time.
