Despite the usual difficulty of students to arrange their schedules so that they might take part in choir, there has been an enrollment of approximately fifty. Twenty-two of this fifty will leave with the l94S gradu- ating class. The Chorus has not specialized in any one type of music but instead has ventured into all types. Tlzfy h ivf sung both svrcred and secular, popu- lar, Sf-lTll'i'lCXSSlCCll and classical music. The chrrus also participated in the Mid-Winter Concert aiven r n the evening of Ianuary 3l. They sang three selections. The-ro were several individual groups and in- dividuals in 'he chorus, who were very popular as specialty numbers, One of these was the Cvirls' Sextette composed of Doris Ward, Mary Lou Shaver, Alyce Larsen, Shirley Swezey, loan Stor- how and Betty McCoy. Their accompanist was Aleatha Mae Dieatrick. The Girls' S Club with lean O'Neill as their president, has taken care of the gates at all the loot- ball and basketball games. Due to the war time conditions the annual girls' play day was cancelled. They sponsored a game for the basketball championship between the Seniors girls' and the lunior qirls' team. Some of the proceeds were donated to the basketball banquet. Another game was also sponsored by the Girls' S Club April 4. The Woman's Town Team played the I-liqh School Honor Team. The Boys' S Club with lohn Sperb as their president, has sponsored several activities to raise money to buy athletic sweaters for the boys, Other officers were: vice-president, Bob Lucas: Bill Staatz, secretary and treasurerg and Andy Hellinq, sergeant-at-arms.
