FUUTBHLL The Aces finished the 1952 season with a record of four wins and four losses, The four games lost by the Aces were all close contests--one game by one point, one by two points, one by six points, and the season's opener by seven points. The Ace team, coached by Norman Theiss, in his first year at Sumner, had not only one of the toughest defensive units in the conference, but also an offensive unit with scoring power. Bob Duhrkopf, Senior Captain of the Aces, was top scorer and ground gainer for the Sumner team. The Ace team showed many good prospects for future seasons and was a team to be proud of.
