The Aces started off with a rush and practically salted the game away in the first half by rolling up a 24-9 score. They held the Little Peacocks to one point in the first quarter. But during the second half the Fayetters began to get their shooting to hit and rolled in 19 points to Sumner's 11. But it wasn't enough to overcome the big lead and so Sumner quali- fied for the district event.
