LOI S LYTCHDER Wai ff-1 A i local Eleven Trims West Union 37-IZ Sumner Cashes in on Visit- or's Mistakes Here Friday Night The local grid team found West Union easy pickings on the local field Friday night to win 37-12. The Aces scored three touch- downs in the first period, and one each in the second third and fourth periods, while the Golden Bombers scored in the second and fourth. The West Union boys handed themselves plenty of trouble with their fumbles and Sumner cashed in on every one but one. The first one came on the sec- ond play of the game after the visitors received the kickoff. Pagel gathered this in and Sum- ner started a goal march, scoring in eight plays for a distance of 33 yards. Dropkick was fumbled. West Union received and was. forced to punt. Starting from mid- field, the Aces uncorked a long run and topped it off with a Conny-Walker pass good for 27 yards and another touchdown. Dropkick was blocked. Then the Aces pulled a slick one out of their bag of tricks by flubbing a kickoff and recovering the ball. Starting from West Un- ion's 37 they scored in seven plays. -' pass to convert was 21 KENINTETH BERGl KN Lois Lechner Crowned Queen at Homecoming Miss Lois Lechner, Junior, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. A.
