Hunnicutt, Sponsor Mrs. Joe Wise man, Typist Mr. Billy Coker School Snapshots 6-7 We present our thirteenth volume of The Panther with the hope that its value will increase with the PHSSUTS Of U19 YCHFS. HHCI if OUP earnest endeavors have succeeded, the value ofthis volume cannot and will not ever be measured in dollars and cents. It will be a priceless possession to all who remember these glorious school years. We have tried to preserve through words and pictures the SETTING, the CHARACTERS, and the ACTION of our life together, life made abundant through the combined efforts of our homes, school, and community. Thus we have chosen as our theme OUR SCHS STORY. When time has made the vivid scenes of our school days grow dim and has almost erased from our minds those happy, carefree years, this volume may be taken from the shelf and reproduce, as the pages are turned, the exuberant experiences that have made our story a reality. ---Editor ,v,, ,:',, , ,, W-fvfo A svh -ww fA55L gui? A yy, i I v I L ff The need of a high school education, asa minimum, is more evident today than ever before in our history. This need is clearly illustrated by the armed services in their requirements for recruits. In this highly competitive society in which we now live, it is most important that we prepare ourselves to meet competition. Our homes, churches, and our schools must exert every effort to help the youth of todayg and our youth must be receptive to these efforts. On the preceding pages of this book we viewed the setting of our school story. Let us now meet the faculty and the hundreds ofstudents who are the chief characters in this. our SCHS story. She has accomplished an unusual feat by playing two years of varsity basketball as a star forward. Another of her talents is displayed when she lends her voice ad- mirably to her church choir. DONNA LOU WIS EM AN Donna Lou's talents are exceeded only by her warm and sympathetic personality.
