Sciences prove helpful Science Was an essential part of a student's schedule. Because Sabres were required to take four years of science, students had a strong background in this field. Both life and earth science proved to be helpful in choosing future careers. Students were also able to enroll in independent study science classes to research the subject further. Teachers in this area offered specialized assistance and Worked with students before or after school to increase the student's understanding of science. Teachers in this department offered students ways to express themselves, and to learn about their culture and its background. Although the teachers spent a great deal of time preparing for classes, they were still able to participate in other activities.
