SHINE , Shiga Activities offered to all students The instructors in the Physical Education Department were in- volved in a large number of courses. All eighth and ninth graders were required to take physical education. Activities in this course included tennis, bas- ketball, and volleyball. The soph- omores, juniors, and seniors were also able to participate in the gym activities. Gymnastics was offered to grades ten through twelve. Swimming was an elec- tive available to all grades.
