C11 First performance of marching Sabres received standing ovation One - two - three - four five - six - seven - to the rear - step - two -- three - four - to 64 devoted marching band stu- dents this meant many long hours of practice. Mr. Ieff Beck, director, and the first marching band, began re- hearsals in early August. For two hours every night various drills were gone over again and again. Mr. Beck commented, To have a marching band was a goal that I had always wanted to accom- plish. I was proud to be a part of the march- ing band because the students were dedicated and wanted to perform well, commented Cece Castor. K
