I Contents SENIORS FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION UNDERCLASSMEN ACTIVITIES SPORTS MUSIC 3 ADVERTISEMENTS Humor Play LARRY MASSIF. rv c MARGARET MORGAN PAUL L. HANNA Principal Be perfectly honest with yourself and the world. Can you see any obstacle to the realization of your fondest dreams-------except A Message to the Seniors your own limitations? You will not be held back by politicians, your family, your teachers or your present duties if you have the desire to succeed. You may never set the world on fire with your great ideas. Of course, you should like to—if you had it in you, you could do it. Above all, do not blame others for your shortcomings. You will come nearer realizing your ambitions if you set your own house in order before you look for obstacles outside of yourself. To recognize and locate the source of one’s weakness is the first step toward be- coming strong. It will be far easier for most of you to correct faults within yourself than it will to change the set-up in Washington, to change parents, or even to find a better job. Work hard to improve your lot and you will do a lot better. Two things are sure to come to the man who just sits and waits—whiskers and bills to pay. Concentration on self-improvement will result in an enjoyable harvest to reward your efforts. After having improved yourself, if you have some energy left over, you can direct it toward revamping the rest of us. The writer attempts to practice what he preaches but it is re- membered that Socrates also went around giving advice and they poisoned him. A ROSE SLAIN EVERETT HOLMGREN JAMES KURTZ JAMES H. From tapering mouth to towering dorsal fin, the experimental Firebird III is imagination in motion, bristling with new ideas from many General Motors divisions. The vital “heart”-the electrical system-of this new concept in transportation for the future was designed and built by Delco-Remy engineers. From the compact, transistorized voltage regulator to the 110-volt auxiliary a.c. generator- powerful enough to operate home power systems in emergencies, or run appliances on camping trips-Delco-Remy’s contributions to Firebird III engineering point out the shape of things to come in the automotive electrical equipment industry. Experimental? Yes. Exceptional? No-for working to develop improvements in the field of automotive electrical systems is a permanent task here. Rather than wait for the future, we like to step forward and meet it. DELCO-REMY DIVISION OF GENERAL MOTORS ANDERSON.
