Romcirr CAIN Cliosp Nix muizc nmy lic Coin, but 'sci' kllllii' l1c'.v iilvlcf' Track, 3, -l. Future-Undecidetl. Noted as a great chemist. AN OPEN LETTER il Tulip Street. Summit, New Alersey. Donald Ldiinger. Iiditor-in-Chief of the Top Dear Donald: The publication of the Year liook is materializing rapidly. I hope with you and your Staff that it will be accepted with a degree of satisfaction to the Student body as a whole. and with much interest and pleasure to the members of the graduating class. I had been made to feel that the Student demand for it was real. I later realized that its staff was ready and anxious to create the Hook and now l see it in the final stages of publication. The Hook itself has a place in the school life. lt definitely collects data on school life which is a valuable source of reininiscencc. It, perhaps, provides a little valuable and practical experience for certain members of the Staff. Hut its cost of production is beyond the ability of the average static. Its publication was made possible this year chieiiy because of the use of many old cuts. .-Xnother year new title cuts will be necessary: if so. this will bring the cost of the Hook considerably beyond the amount that can be raised by the Staff. I. therefore, feel that a publication similar in content and character will, again. be -of much concern another Fall. I realize that the creation of such a bool: annually will be a source of uncer- tainty and anxiety on the part of the Staff and its advisor. The sources of income are limited. and the number of subscribers is always doubtful. The Students must get fully and detinitely behind the project and sufvfwrf it-not depend upon organizations and home rooms for the extra help in money. The Year Hook is your Hook because -of your support. I have enjoyed working with you and your Staff and have appreciated the spirit and the response at all times. I am also mindful of the splendid attitude which the Senior Class has shown in its endeavor to make the publication possible. Sincerely yours. .lmiits li. li.XWI.lfY. Trcciify-fl1ri'c
