HISTBBY BE THE ELASS BE TBSH The class of 'SS was born in 1940. Janie, Aggie, and Pat Byan banded together to keep Sister Ellen Marie busy. Although we lost Aggie, Sheila joined us as we graduated with pride into the first standard. We then became acquainted with See Bicl-1 run and watch Jane play. The second standard brought hright halos around our young heads as we prepared for our Eirst Holy Eommunion. Babs joined us in time to be one of the graduates of the Primary Bepartment. We lost Janie for awhile but Peg Brown and Patty Luttmer came to help us brave our initiation into the Lower School. The fifth standard found us in a dither while anxiously anticipating our first school dance. Patty Luttmer left us but Bita came just in time to help us solve impossible long division problems. Janie rejoined us, together with Barbara Wallace, Mary Jo, and Annie, as we received the privilege of singing for Eom- mencement. Aggie came back to share in our joy at being the seniors of the Lower School. In 1S4S we embarked upon our unforgettable Upper School days, joined hy Barbara Morrissey, Sue, Nancy, and once again Patty Luttmer. Prom St. Louis, Peggy Powers came to console us as we operated on Sister Marie Elara's grassboppers and frogs. Marilyn and Mary Ann came to complete our class and to echo with us our many groans over those horrible English assignments. Bur last year finds us rejoicing as graduation draws near, yet sorrowful at ending our happy days at the Summit.
