-,W Y-nw J ' ' ' 1194? H ' 511455 H!5'!'0!?l' In our Freshman year, we gained Bill Rutledge from Elk City, Judi Wood from Greenville, South Carolina, and Patsy Watson from Dougherty. Well, here we were, back in High School again. In our Sophomore year, we were used to being in Senior High School and had settled down somewhat, In our Junior year, we just didn'tdo anything except lose Student Council elections and gain Larry Chandler from Oklahoma City, Don Lee from Anadarko, Gaylene Gaylor from Davis, and Bill Rutledge back from Elk City. This year we were thinking and couldn't remember ever having the Queen of anything from our class. We felt this was somewhat of a bad record, so we went after them and got nearly all of them. Coming to help us win these this year were Kenneth Low from Davis, Bill Rutledge from Elk City, Linda Beller from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linda Hale from Mill Creek, Reba Payne from Mill Creek, and Barbara Reynolds from Bridge Port, Texas. We have also been very active in clubs and organizations this year with the Seniors being the leaders of many of them. Up to the present we stand as follows: seven on the Bulldog Staff with Mary Ann as Editor, ten on the Hi-Ways Staff with Ikey as Editor, nine in S Club with Jerry Runyan as President, twelve in Pep Club with La Donna Jones as President, seven in Band with Ikey and Gena as Twirlers, eight in O,H,S, , eight in N,H,S., nineteen in Girls' Glee Club, fifteen in Mixed Chorus, eleven in F,F,A, with Joe Lowrance as President, eighteen inF.l-l.A. with five officers, eight in Spanish Club, six Librarians and Student Projection- ists, nine on the Football Team with Happy Jewell and Jerry Runyan as Captains, also Jerry Runyan and Jerry Wells made All -District 3A, six on the Baseball Team, six on the Basketball Team with Jerry Wells and Denny Hudson as Captains, three on the Track Team, seven in the Photo Klicks with Ikey Denman as Presidentg Jerry John and Joe Lowrance as Vice -Presidents, and Patsy Watson as Secretary of Student Council. We were not to be left out of the smaller groups by any means, we had four Cheerleaders, three in Girls' Quartet, two inGirls' Trio, one in Boys' Quartet, and the F,H,A, Sextet is composed of all Senior girls. Now for our Queens: Gena Braden started things off by winning F.F.A, Sweetheart, then Ikey Denman was elected Band Queen, Donna Johnson took Football Queen, then Delores Parker was unanimously elected S Club Sweetheart, Perry Como liked the looks of Mary Beth Chaffin and chose her as Annual Queen, and Barbara Reynolds was chosen as Photo Club Queen. H So you see, we started out with a bang and ended up with one and of course there were a lot of happy times and memories in between. So now, it is about time for us to leave your midst and also for our history as stu- dents at Sulphur to come to a close. We the Senior Class of 1959 willfully and a bit sorrowfully, falthough we won't admit ity submit this history to you and wish you the best of luck, and hope in the rest of your school days you have as much fun as we did.
