Frank Gibbard, a member of the class of '58, has finally completed his rocket ship, with the help of Dale Clark and Jackie Paxton. He decided, after many hours of deliberation, to call it Frankie's Fantasy. Destination Mars! I-le was so fond of his fellow classmates, he decided to take them along. Gary Godard, the outstanding and world famous mathematician, has just finished charting the course. Lin- da fCornerJ Godard is keeping the pencils sharpened for Gary while her right-hand man, Judy Hammond, empties the pencil sharpener. Blast off day arrives and the Seniors of '58 meet at the Tavern. fWhere else do you think you'd find us all together?J Everybody's raring to go except Terry Gentry. He can 't stop bopping long enough to get in. Merina Rutherford and Lynda Raye Lewis will help Terry hold down the fort here on earth because they can't leave their ever-lovin husbands. Captain of the ship is Floyd Perryman. John Runyan stands by to make sure that Floyd doesn 't attempt to put the top down. Our ship is powered with the new fuel which was discovered by Kenny Robb and Mary Q McClaren J Robb. The discovery was Grubby Hurt 's tremendous amount of hot air. By the way, the Robb's have a beautiful little daughter, Short. Fat Fanny. Sue Richards. accompanied by Jimmy Fredrickson. provides the entertainment for the trip. She puts on a show six times daily just like she did back in old SHS Jimmy plays the piano by - you guessed it! Flashlight. He thinks candelabras are old-fashioned. Ken Kirby. the doorman. has borrowed Jim's favorite expression, No Free Shows. Of course, we have to have food on our trip, so we chose Carol Parker and Linda Lu Lewis to be our culi- nary artists. When we reach Mars, Carol and David Gardner plan to set up housekeeping. We lost Mary Allen on the way up. She couldn't stand the thought of life without Smitty, so she bailed out. We forgot to tell her we didn't bring any parachutes. We made a big splash when we arrived. Gary has miscalculated and landed us in a canal! We weren't the ones to give up. so everyone just went for a swim. Lyle Brooks really got on a stick and started building a main street because Flo can't get along without a main to drag. We must have a Drive-in so Patsy Lance kept the family tradition and built Lance 's Dairy Drip. Glenda Callaway manages the place. Chief car hop is Pansy Watson. Her helpers are Carolyn Watson, Margaret Pope, Almeda Day, and Sarah Black. Several others caught the building fever. P.D. 's Paradise was soon flourishing. The specialty of the house is Danyeur's Dynamic Delight. The floor show is the swinginest! Dee Jack and Sue Gulleckson play hot saxophones while Pat Clark sings her little heart out. -W - - 'r lm'
