L srcmsn ------ THE SENIOR cLAss or 1957 , t, -,, H... -Y-,-.---JUIUQIQ-v ., , 01455 P19WPHf6'l' It is now the year of 1967, the place, New York City, New York. The Senior Class of 1957 have now become very famous for their acting ability and social standings. Let's take a tour of New York and see what the Seniors of 5'7 have done for themselves. Ah yes, now opening in Madison Square Garden is that famous all-round Cowgirl known as Miss Moo Moo Lewis. Miss Moo Moo is well-known for riding a bull with one hand, waving at her fans with the other and singing I Want To Be ACowboy's Sweetheart. Announcing the rodeo is Alvin Trammell. Attending the rodeo is that famous inventor Paul Cooper and his lovely wife, Wanda Lemming. As you all know Paul invented that nutritious - delicious pig food, S-L-O-P! l ! It's not only good for pigs but for kids too as you can tell by Paul and Wanda's brood of 15. After the rodeo people flock to that fabulous gambling casino, Doro's Dugout. Its owner is Robert Jackson , well-known in his younger days for his POKER PARTIES. Working in Doro's Dugout is Marlin Luna as HEAD BARTENDER! The girls running the tables at Doro's Dugout are Pat Rutherford and Trudy Dirickson. The floor show is presented by Bubbling Becky Beavers , who is taking the place of Marlyn Monroe. What Marlyn can't do, BECKY CAN! Next we journey over to the Place Theater where that former star athlete of S. H. S. is now starring in the role he was meant to play, Will Success Spoil Donnie Thompson. Out in the audience we see Bill Lance and his charming blond-headed wife Betty Kirby. Bill always did like blonds you know. Later tonite his famed allfgirl basketball team, the BOUNCING BEAUTIES consisting of Neatha Billy Boy Brown, Nancy Goose McClaren, Nancy Dutch Watson, Happy Belva Trent, and Ellen Murph. Worley. They will play the PODUNK POLECATS starring Charles Cade, Jerry Moss, Sammy Sweeten, Bill Clark, and Edwin Frantz, coached by that outstanding coach Paul Beanpole Thompson, Duringintermission we came across that internationally known track star, Beverly Cowan. Seemed like she ac- quired her skill running all this time from that SAME Senior boy. Carol Sekavec has made nation-wide headlines. Seems like Carol always did like more than one boy. She be- lieves in Cheaper by the Dozen and now is living way back in the hills of Utah with her 52 husbands. Now we make our way over to Radio City where the great Ready Teddy Davis is now recording his new hit tune, ME! ME!ME! Providing the background music is that group that made such a SMASH hit at good ole S. H. S. ----- Jerry Gentry and his TROUPADOURS, which now have gained two more members, Larry Hefner and Bill Kelton. an Qbwv , ,v,, Cm, ,,,, ,,,,,,.,,,.,,..pq,,,,,,-. W. ---Y V Q - Qt Rehearsing across the hall from Ready Teddy we see that famous ballet star, La Fe Fe Frantz working with her manager Barbel1is Best . Incidentally she is slated for a command performance for the Duke of S. H. S. As we go across town we see the largest girdle factory in the world, owned by Peggy Peveto. Her motto is MERT'S GERT'S MAKE THE FLIRTS! Touring the factory we see such beautiful models as Linda White, Barbara Peterson, and Dollie Wilson. Our next stop is Coney Island where we find Tom Plumlee, the head Barker, trying to entice onlookers to see the Queens of Quiver , starring Fannie Annie and Minnie Moves -er Mann known to you as Annie Lee Chaffin and Jackie Mann. Some of the spectators are, Harley Bonds, the morticiang Bill Holland, the band leadergPat Lewis, the pla yboyg Gene McKinnion, the artistg Jack Potes, a famous orator the got his bachelor of oratory from Penn. University, in other wordshe gothis B. O. from P. UJ Hanging from the rafters we see Jimmy Stout, a famed actor, who had taken Lassie's place in the movies, Tony Veal, a highway patrolmang and James Cowan, owner of Sack Your Pak food stores. Another interesting sight is The Rooster Boosters, owned and operated by Clifford Girod, a new name for the Chicken fights. Becky Walker is his chief assistant. A sudden explosion draws our attention to the sky and we find out that the mad scientist David Williams has just launched his Rocket Ship, Speedo, to the moon. His passengers are Billie Pat Wilson Boom, Bonnie Hillard, Wanda Cottle Giesen and Treva Monger Bowen and their husbands, who are going to set up housekeeping on the Moon, Rene Ann Baker has taken Hilda 's place on the television series December Bride. By the way kids she's lost her 20 inch waist-line, La Dayne Moore is manager ofthe Green Lounge. And instead of What's behind the Green Door its now WHAT'S BEHIND MOORE'S DOOR! Thus, ends our tour into the future of the Seniors of 57 Written and compiled by La Dayne Moore Carol Sekavec Bobbie Lewis Beverly Cowan Peggy Peveto Robert I ac kson Don Thompson V 011455 H!5701W If the future is to be determined by the pattern of the historical progress, then we proudly present this history of the graduating Senior Class of 1957. This history is accurately and respectively submitted. Our school careers began that bright and sunny September moming in 1945. Starting to Mrs. Haste and Mrs. King at Washington were Neatha Brown, Betty Kirby, Peggy Peveto, Edwin Frantz, Clifford Girod, Sam Sweeten , Don Thompson, Alvin Trammell, Becky Walker. Billie Wilson Boom, and Carol Sekavecg who joined us from Ardmore. The first grade teachers at Cameron, Mrs. Glass and Mrs. La Suer, began their long struggle with our rivals, Paul Cooper, Jack Potes, Jimmy Stout, Ted Davis, Marlin Luna, Jerry Gentry, Treva Monger Bowen, LaDayne Moore, and Nancy Watson. In the second grade, two students were added to the Cameron forces. Wanda Lemmings came from far-away Roff, Robert Jackson from McAlester. and Nancy Watson moved to Tucson, Arizona. It seems Robert andMarlin were extra good buddies. Remember when they used to push each other out the windows at school? Washington gained Annie Lee Chaffin from New Mexico, and La Jean Frantz. We lost Carol Sekavec to Cameron. Jnearly grade school days, Annie Lee was the bashful type but through the years, a different story has been handed down. She is now known as Miss Astor or Ardent Annie The third grade saw Cameron gain Wanda Cottle Geisen from Clovis, New Mexico. we finally won the fight over Carol Sekavec with Cameron when she decided to honor us with her presence at Washington. Ted Davis also came from Cameron, and Bill Kelton came from Doro's hometown, McAlester. Oh Yes! Remember kids, thiswas the year that Alvin Trammel1's and Peggy Peveto's hot romance started. We are sorry to say it just lasted for three years. We the Seniors of '57 stillaren't a big class by a long shot. However, we did make three new gains. Ellen Worley came from California, Bill Clark from Stillwater, and Harley Bonds from Ardmore, to join the Washington and Cameron fourth grade classes. Ah! The fifth grade, the grade of blossoming romance--and disaster. Remember when Harley Bonds used to call Jackie Mann on the phone after schoolnearly everyday? And when Peggy Peveto was riding Don Thompson'shorse and was thrown? This year Jackie Mann came from Big Canyon to Washington, while Annie Lee Chaffin switched over to Cameron, and Nancy Watson decided to move back from Tucson. The sixth grade, our last year in grade school. Jerry Moss, Hickory: Tony Veal, Bristowg and Betty Kirby from Washingtong became members of Cameron's sixth grade class, while Washington gained only one new member, Rene Ann Baker from Granite. W Zia.. sh, A . At long last we are the big kids of Junior High--The Seventh Graders--ready to take our big step toward grad- uation. This year Gene McKinnon from McAlester, Bobbie Lewis from Granite, Belva Trent from Iona, and Eddie Barbel Best from Vinson, joined our class, In our second year injunior High we gained David Williams from Oklahoma City, Bill Holland from Muskogee, and Larry Hefner from Oklahoma City. The O.G. 8a E. plant really helped populate our class this year. The Freshman year we lost La Dayne Moore to Trousdale and regained her all in the same year. we also gained five new class members besides La Dayne. The Cowan twins, James and Beverly came from Gene Autry, Linda White from Big Canyon, Billie Wilson Boom from Fairview, and Dollie Wilson from Waurika. In our Sophomore year Wanda Geisen decided to come back from Ft. worth and graduate with US. Trudy Dirickson came from our rival town, Davisg Nancy McClaren from Fairland, and Bill Lance came from Daugherty. La Dayne Moore changed her mind again and moved to Texas this year. We are Juniors now, and ready to attend the Junior-Senior Banquet. We were joined this year by Tom Plumlee ofCordell, Charles Cade from Dunbar School, Barbara Peterson from Utica, and oh yes, La Dayne moved to Sulphur from Asher. This year Bobbie Lewis was elected as the Round-Up Club Queen, Peggy Peveto was selected as the RodeoQueen, Becky Walker was chosen to represent Sulphur at Oklahoma Girls' State, and Linda White received the D.A.R. award. The long awaited Senior year! We, the Seniors of 1957, have collected five new classmates and members, Pat Rutherford, Becky Beavers from India, Betty wood from Ada, and the Cope twins, Earline and Geraldine from Chickasha. We are proud to be represented by Rene Ann Baker as Football Queen, and Bobbie Lewis as Letterman's Club Sweetheart. Barbara Peterson, who has had a poem published, is a member of the National High School Poetry Association. Also, we are happy to have a Senior. Peggy Peveto, as editor of the Annual this year. Our graduating Senior Class has been very active in the various activities in school. We have 9 football players, 3 basketball players, 11 F.F. A. members, 13 Letterman's Club members, 2 Key Club boys, 5 band students, 7 Glee Club girls, ll Mixed Chorus members, 8 Bulldog Boosters, 3 Cheerleaders, 8 Student Council members, 7 Annual staff, 7 Hi-Ways Staff, 4 Office staff, 4 Student Librarians, 9 Air Scouts, 4 Presidents'Club, 3 Track boys, 6 Baseball players, 6 N.H,S. members, and 7 O,H,S. members.
