The Sullivan South Scholar's Bowl Team is an academic team, answering questions from various categories such as history and literature. The team competes annually in the WSIK-TV Scholar's Bowl Tournament and the UT Scholar's Bowl Tournament. This year the team also competed in the Tennessee Wesleyan Scholar's Bowl Tournament and the national Knowl- edge Master Open Competition. Last summer South placed third in the na- tion in the National Academic Chal- lenge held in Columbus, Ohio. 125

Litz The Science Honor Society is an organization that recog- nizes excellence in the science curriculum. Students who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average in science as well as being enrolled in their third year of science are el- igible for membership. This year, the society is a member of the Tennessee Science League. The Science Honor So- ciety provides students with the opportunities to go on eductional field trips after school on various days.
