We highlighted our freshman year with a farewell party for Valerie Hill at the Eagles Mere fire hall. The party ended with Alvin Smith eating all the cupcakes. At the beginning of our Sophomore year we lost three persons and gained five from Dushore when their high school was closed. They were Ronald Avery, Douglas Toothaker, Myrna Long, Rita Searfoss, and Gwen Stevens. During this year we also gained Carl Barnes and Howard Condon. We also held a Christmas Sock dance during this year. Thanks to our run away students our class trip to Hershey was cancelled, We began our Junior year losing five of our members, including Judy Rose who was stricken with polio during August 1954. In spite of all her difticulties she has completed courses in the hospital and is back to graduate with us. During this year we were kept busy preparing for our Junior Prom. The theme was The Cruise of Judy Elizabeth, in honor of Judy Rose. It was held May 13, 1955, with rrrusic by Frankie Reynold's Orchestra. Even though it was Friday the thirteenth, our prom proved to be a great success and will never be forgotten by our class. Our Senior year started September 12, 1955, with twenty-one of us. We lost five from the previous year but gained one. Leroy Hess was the addition to the class. We lost him near the end of the year. November 3 and 4, 1955, the class presented the Senior Class play, Meet me at the Prom, under the direction of Mr. Yaudes, Mr. Whetstone, and Mr, Snyder, The members of our class were guests at the Junior .Prom on May 4, 1956, sponsored by the class of '57, The theme was Disneyland, Plans have been completed for commence- ment and the trip to Washington.
