61444 Widldfly We began our journey through school in the year 1942. Our first six years were spent enjoying life by means of such exciting games as post office. In the course of these years we participated in five operettas. At the beginning of our seventh year, four new mem- bers joined our class. They were: Wayne Gavitt, Runette Parkhouse, Leah Little and Carl Rider. Other than class parties, our eighth year seemed uneventful. The next year we became full fledged members of the high school. At this time Joamre Fyfe joined our class giving us a total of twenty-four members. Our sophomore year we gained another new member, Patsey Reeser. This year we were entertained by the sophomore boys known as the Carbon Paper Gang, who decorated their faces with carbon to represent mustaches We sponsored several dances and skating parties this year. On one of our class parties, Ann Taylor and Joanne Fyfe were left at Trout Pond when they failed to meet the bus on time. During our Junior year, we were kept quite busy preparing for our Junior Class Play, 'Strictly Formal, and the Junior Prom. Finally we reached our Senior and busiest year. During this year we initiated to the school, the first sock dance. Later in the midst of preparation for our Senior Class Play, 'Maid to Order, Wayne Gavitt had an accident forcing us to postpone the play several months. We are happy to say that Shelby Myers, a member of the Senior Class, was cho- sen May Queen. Her court consisted of the remainder of the Senior girls. Nearer the end of the year we were busy with our speeches for Commencement and the preparation for the big day. As our Senior year comes to a close, our class consists of fifteen mem- bers. elddd 7066! Runette Parkhouse wills her figure to Sandra Laurenson. Shirley Ferrell wills her excuses which keep Mrs. Smith confused to Nancy Cox. Leah Little wills her dancing ability to Kenneth Proof. Ann Taylor wills her handwriting to Mr. Brown. Wayne Gavitt wills his love for the girls to Norman Barnes. Blanche Foust wills her wicked left arm to Mr. Kelly's baseball team. Dale Phillips wills his ability to play ball to Clyde Eichenlaub. Anne Krause wills some of her extra weight to Carol Magargel. Marian Houseknecht wills her ability to get straight A's to William Snyder. Chester Myers wills his quietness to Mr. Yaudes. Joanne Fyfe wills her method of staying out of trouble to Shelby Phillips. Carl Rider wills his crew cut to Mr. Worthington. Daisy Little wills her ability to act to Elaine Smith. Patsey Reeser wills her Ipana smile to Lydia Dunham. Shelby Myers wills her ability to become engaged to Miss Saxer. The Senior Class leaves its Christmas lights and quality of leadership to the Juniors, its ability to cooperate to the Sophomores, its sense of humor to the Freshmen, and its pen- nants to the Athletic Association.
