Class of 50 Our class 1S not very small In fact there IS seventeen 1n all We're not all smart and we're not all dumb And I'll admit we have a lot of fun Lucllle Ballou 1S one of the smartest She gets good grades and works the hardest She comes to school in the latest styles And she doesn't think boys are much worth while Russell Lowe is on the chubby side But he takes that all 1n h1s str1de He likes his g1rls short or tall He likes g1rls, any g1rls at all Ray Saraf1n He's always He don't go is a very smart lad happy and never sad in for many sports Shirley Pfeiffer is a glrl that's very gay To make a frlend she goes out of her way She wants to have a family of ten Why She must think she's a mother hen Now we'll take that tall Phil Rook He doesn't know much about a school book He goes to school to have lots of fun But he seems to get his school work done Leona Shoenberger is a witty gal But She But Now Who to the class she's a real pal comes to school most every day she comes Just to pass the time away lets go on to Ernie Robb to the g1rls is not a snob He s traveled east and traveled west But the girls from Polk he likes the best Now take Dick Immel the basketball star You'll know his name where ever you are He can out run any one by many a yard And he even belongs to the National Guard Hank Hubler is the qu1etest boy And to him most girls are Just a kill joy He's not so dumb with girls, 1n a way And I ll bet he ll never be led astray 17 ! Class Prophecy May 25, 1950 found the seventeen Seniors happily receiving their diplomas and dreamlng of the future Ray Sarafin, President of the class, wants to be a civil engineer after graduating from Ohio State University Red haired, flashy eyed, Elaine Leiby wants more than anything in the world to become a beautlcan Jack Rollin, Bob Laborie, Bill Cowhick, and Russ Lowe have decided to spend most of their life farming Cute Marjorie Givan would like very much to become a secretary The life of the class, Dick Immel, wants merely to earn a hundred dollars a week Quiet Lucille Ballou wants someday to be the owner of a peach ranch in California Alvin Keener, our handy man, wants someday to do Interior Decorating Phyllis Demaline wants to be a career girl and, later on, to marry a million aire Wilbur Hubler wants to be an automobile mechanic Pretty Ruth Twining would like very much to go to college and maybe raise a family later on Phil Rook thinks going to agricultural college would be fun Leona Shonenberger also likes money, and her secret desire is to become a m1ll1onaire Ernest Robb wants his life work to be that of a missionary Last, but not least, Shirley Pfeiffer wants to take up nursing as a career Ten years have passed Now let's look 1nto our crystal ball and see what the members of the class of 50 are doing From a distance we can see the HRook's Dairy Farms H Ruth Twining, now Mrs Rook, is busily milking while Phil is watchlng Phyllis Demaline, the new singing comedian, on television On the corner of Times Square, we see Bob Laborie selling newspapers and calling loudly, 'Extra, Extra, read all about it' Africa s greatest missionary, Ernie Robb, returning to the United States ing books At the present she is selling Ray Sarafin s new book on HSoi1 Conser vation or 'John Brown s Other Mud Puddle ' Ray is a famous writer and at the present he is 11ving in New York City It seems Dick Immel has Joined the Cleveland Indians pitching staff He is now pitching the first game of the World s Series against Brooklyn Leona Shoenberger, sport's reporter for Sullivan Times, is busily covering the World s Series Bill Cowhick has settled down on his small farm of three hundred acres near Ashland, Ohio Our crystal ball becomes hazy, for Wilbur Hubler is 'jack of all trades' at the pre ent is working at none Marjor1e's w1sh has come true for she is now a secretary at Russ Lowe's Bubble Gum Factory We are very glad to see Lucille Ballou is working at the Library of Congress Are you planning to attend the circus?
