-to feed were best at home: From thence the sauce to meat is ceremony, Meeting were bare Without it. Echoing from the rafters of the auditorium, the tra- ditional strains of Pomp and Circurnstancen marked the beginning of the end for the seniors. Yes, graduation exercises brought to a close four unforgettable years of work, play, laughter, and tears, But not even the excitement of commencement could wipe away the mem- ory of the events leading up to this, the climax of their high school career. Probing into their high school days they remember the agony of being a freshie and being the brunt of the upper classmen's perverted sense of humorg the swelled head that was a part of their sophomore year along with the grasshoppers from the biology class and the triangles and circles from the geometry class, Traces eight of their junior days are yet visible an old 'typewriter ribbon, a test tube and lab apron and a 'llog from the trig class, Their senor year is still sharply etched in their minds , . the riotous fun at the Senior Party in the Gym, the work and sweat and joy of producing the Senior Play, Ar:'enic and Old Lace , the Mothers Tea, the Prom at the Belmont Hotel where they danced dream- ily to the music of lohnny Stewart and finally the Senior Luncheon at the Ridgeview Hotel. As the orchestra picks up the notes of the recessional, a door closes on a part of their lives . . . their high school days are now a part of the past , . . but a new and broader door is open to them as they gaze into the future with mingled feelings of regret and happy expectancy.
