Their fundamental purpose was tl1e development of mind. spirit. and body: therefore they called their group tl1e Blue Triangle. They have become well organized and have earned tl1e position at the top which tl1ey 11ow l1old. XVhen tl1ey see .1 need for improve- ment in any field. tl1ey are willing and ready to do their part. Tl1ree years ago they re- furnished tl1e dean's office. making it n1ucl1 more attractive than it had previously been. The next year tl1ey saw tl1e need for a case to hold tl1e trophies e.1rned by the tribe. fo. together witl1 the Hi-Y. they furnished this. This year's group has done its part by en- larging tl1e school library. They donated over fifty new fiction books for the benefit of everyone in camp. liach Christmas Blue Tri entertains with a party for small girls to welcome Santa's visit. They show their appreciation to their mothers by giving a banquet in their honor. Tl1ey .1re guided by their leader, Frances Billman. and her helpers, Norma Wlaeeler. Sarah Thompson. and Ruth Hochstettler. Tl1ese leaders are helped by two, more learned and experienced than they. Mrs. Alustine Barco and Miss Ifdna Sanders are true friends of the Blue Tri. HlfWIRES A year before their encampment, the Viking warriors banded themselves together for a new purpose. that of clean speech, clean athletics. clean living. and contagious Christian character. How well they have manifested these ideals is shown by their accomplishments of the last ten years. On several occasions they have sponsored athletic stunts. This year they Scored a success by ceremoniously burying the enemy. Bralil. just before the battle on the gridiron in which that team was defeated. In addition to their athletic activities the clansmen have attended Sunday church services en masse. have assisted the Blue Tri in bu'ying a trophy case. have placed a hand- some clean athletics plaque in the Community Gym. and have assisted both directly and indirectly in various charitable community enterprises. During the current year the club has engaged in numerous worthwhile enterprises. In the football and basket ball seasons, the club adorned the lower hall with handsome schedules. The Hi-Y delivered several well-filled Christmas baskets to needy families. In March a delightful and very successful best girl banquet was held The club officers who have guided the destinies of the Viking warriors in their 1934-35 campaigns are: John Purcell. president. Bob Henderson. vice-president: Lloyd Griffith. secretary-treasurerg and Henry Mercer, sergeant at-arms. These officers per- formed their duties diligently and with the help of the sponsor, Mr. Gilmore, brought the Viking band to victory.
