A line that never seems to There are many facets to an unending line of progress. One of these is Registration Day, that one tradition that always returns to campus and never seems to end. Confusion reigns supreme, and all are glad to see the Days of Registration come to a close.

Freshman initiation takes place in the fall. . . the freshmen all report to the park¬ ing lot of Lawrence Hall, a girl ' s dorm, for obedience training and a masque¬ rade party. Upperclassmen welcome the freshmen with paddles, songs, water, syrup, crunchy breakfast food, and many other things. The freshmen are fair game to upperclassmen, and upper¬ classmen and faculty members are fair game to other upperclassmen via fresh¬ men. One sometimes wonders who comes out on the short end of the deal—the freshmen or the upperclassmen. One more dab should do you. The firing squad!
