I r • ■ ■ ■■;• ' ■ ' V. ■: ' ■ J 1 i t jbU- Brand -Unujv- ijy Maim Of all Rossonians, none is more loved and respected than John C. Coleman. He is unique as the first four-year degree graduate of Sul Ross State Teachers College in 1926. Since that time he has loyally served Sul Ross and Sul Ross people as professor of mathematics, devoted friend, and sage advisor. To him, on the occasion of his Silver Anniversary, the 1951 Brand is respectfully dedicated. In this, the 1951 Brand, it has been our purpose to create a yearbook which is truly representative of life at Sul Ross State College. If this edition of the Brand records the compos¬ ite picture of the student year in permanent form so that it may be re-lived in the future in the minds and hearts of all who have trod their alma mater’s soil, then we shall be justly rewarded for our efforts. The 1951 Brand was built around you, the student. The ultimate goal of the staff in cre¬ ating this book was to picture the personalities, the ac¬ tivities, and the philosophy and the campus of 1951. campus the student body administration and faculty activities campus favorites sports organizations eandid shots advertisements ADMINISTRATION BUILDING . . . from all angles. • -r ' BIG BEND MEMOBIAL MUSEUM . . . ihe arch ways and the relics of the interior.
