FOREWARD Twenty-five years ago, when our college was looking forward to its third year of life, a group of industrious students pooled their imagina¬ tions and creative skills with the idea of pub¬ lishing the first yearbook of Sul Ross State Normal College. The result of their labors was the 1922 edition of the Brand. This book, the 1947 edition, rounds out the first quarter-century of the Brand’s existence. This milestone marks a very important era for Sul Ross. Now we have another era before us. Colleges and universities all over America are expanding to cover the ever-increasing needs of the grow¬ ing enrollment. Sul Ross State Teachers Col¬ lege is no exception for, in this twenty-fifth year of the Brand, we have a bright and hope¬ ful outlook for the future of our college.
