H o n o r Society members are at- tentive as Tony Ranere speaks. lpha Chapter Endows 'T 5 'ii - L.. The Alpha Chapter of the National Honor Society endows its honors at its tapping and induction ceremony: held in the fall and spring of each school year. The members. who are highly respected by their fellow students, are chosen according to their leadership. scholarship. service, and character. Exemplifying their service to the school the Honor Society plans college night. publishes and sells S.H.S. handbooks. which are especially helpful to Soph- omores, and tutors students who need assistance in certain subjects. The N.H.S. also sponsors one of the highlights of the school year, the Homecoming Weekend. The three day affair includes a parade, a night pep rally with bonfire. the big game and a dance where the Homecoming Queen is crowned. The National Honor Society chooses a set of officers each semester. The officers for 1059-60 were president. Jim Pizzarelle and Jim Hutchisong vice- president.
