This years squad won five games while losing only three. This was good enough for a third place showing in the Bi-County League as well as the Prince Georges County championship. Numbering among the Seniors lost from this years squad are Buddy Pollock, Lynn Hollabaugh, Ronnie Thornburg, Bob DeChambeau, Fern Kealoha, and Andy Johanson, all of whom are college prospects. S.H.S. railbaek Buddy Pollock was selected to the first string of the All Bi-County League backfield. He rushed for more than 700 yards ran punts and kickoffs back for more than 300 yards and passed for 400 yards. With the 92 run from scrimmage in the Northwestern game Pollock broke the record of 90 yards previously held by Jack Sims. This year Suitland has the added pride of defeating their rival, Northwestern, in the final game of the season, which also began Suitland's annual Homecoming.
