The Suitland chapter of the Future Teachers Club. part of a national or- ganization. .created a greater interest in teaching and phases of the teaching op- portunities. The club has had many noted speakers. They sent a representa- tive to the meeting of the state Future Teachers Association. The officers include Janice Bennett. president: Betty Davis. vice-president: Nancy Boswell, secretary: and David Ballard. treasurer. The club is sponsored by Mrs. Duke and Mr. Spriggs, Nafion-wide Clubs Help Tram For The Fufure The Suitland chapter of the Future Nurses of America performed services to the school and community by study- ing a Red Cross home nursing course, assisting with the diabetic survey, mak- ing gifts for the Alms House, visiting hospitals in the area. and sponsoring the school drive. lts purpose was to acquaint students with the specialized fields of nursing. and to aid members in choosing and preparing for nursing schools.
