CARTER, alife-longresidentofRockyGroveand former graduate, now is the highest administrator of our school to- day. He has imparted to school and student body his many fine qualities in a highly successful admixture of wisdom, sincerity, humanity and truth. All of these many fine attri- butes which are his, can be seen reflected in the entire school community and has made itself felt throughout the area as seen by our fine reputation. Many glowing tributes could be paid to Mr. Carter, we feel. To a man of such simplicity and sincerity, we can say only Thank you for your wise, considerate and beneficial guidance. We will always SUPERINTENDENT R. Glenn Carter MR. ALDERSON has won and eamed respect and sincere friendship of all of us. Heis thoughtof not only as a competent and efficient administrator, but also as a wise, sympathic and true friend. Mr. Alderson has initiated some new ideas, since coming to Rocky Grove, which have proven highly popular and successful in our school program. He originated the idea of noon-hour movies, and gave much time and effort to the formation of a Projection Crew. One of his pet projects has been watching the maturity and growth of the F. T. A. . He was President of the Board in 1948. Prior to serving on the Board Mr. Allen was an employee of the District as a member of the custodial staff from 1933 until 1942. Mr. Allen was keenly interested in young people and had a great interest in the activities of the school, particularly in athletics. Mr. Allen was proud of the schools of the Township and their accomplish- ments, and was ever ready to proclaim their merits. In short, tie besteducation can be accomplished only when the best of safety precautions, sanitary conditions, and pleasing appearance of the physical plant are maintained. We at Pocky Grove feel we have had just that due to the untiring and never failing efforts of ' Samuel Confer who retired December 15, 1951. Mr. Confer came to Rocky Grove as head janitor in October 1934, and was made superintend- ant of buildings for all of Sugarcreek Township during the 1946-47 school term.
