“CLASS HISTORY Everyone will agree that the class of 1955 certainly compares to a powerful eight cylinder engine of the present days. However, when we started out in the eighth grade, we were only a mere six cylinders. We increased in power when the other two cylinders were added in the forms of Farmington Township and Freehold Township students. We started adding mileage in our sophomore year when James Rapp, Doyle Carlson, Phyllis Schenck, and Lois Rowland were chosen as our class officers. Trips to the Buffalo Museum and Zoo and a jaunt to P1ke's Rocks for a weiner roast helped take the kinks out of our new structure, and we were well on our way to being juniors. With lr Luvison, Mrs. Bauer, and Mr Frederick providing the necessary oil to remove the squeaks obtained by a summer's rest, and with Doyle Carlson Gordon Hinsdale, Phyllis Schenck, and Patricia Lank doing the necessary steering, we were road tested over a busy Junior year. Several sparkplugs were picked up when Jeannette Bull and Tom Wakefield joined our class Humming with power our engine mastered its first big test, the magazine sales With each cylinder struggling to do better than its neighbor, the sales were a success, and a trip to Jamestown was the reward for the workers. Toward the end of the year we again stepped on the accelerator and presented the Junior Senior Banquet at the Norris Supper Club, another big success, we might add After the all school picnic at Wilder Field our weary engine was rested while waiting for the final year to begin. Finally, the day came The old reliable engine was again started and we are now on the Senior Super highway to success Two more skarkplugs, Portia Rix and Art Carlson, were secured, and we are now buzzing with excitement as graduation day draws near With hours of selling candy, entering a float in the fair, and our play FOOT LQQQE in the background, we approach the end of the journey and the retirement of our engine.
