LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT As your final semester of college draws to a close, you may find youself having strong emotions about your experiences at Suffolk University. These emotions are unique to each person, yet common in many ways to all. The Spring Semester of 1986 is the culmination of your undergraduate years at Suffolk University and is a time of reflection and anticipation. It is a time to reflect upon your experiences at Suffolk University: on your successes and accomplish- ments, as well as on those learning experiences which have helped you grow, mature and understand better one another and the world we share. It is time to anticipate the next step in your life: perhaps graduate school or new job responsibilities following graduation. The standards for Suffolk University students are high indeed. You have invested hard work and long hours to complete your academic program at Suffolk University, and to fulfill your many other commitments and responsibil- ities: to your parents and family, to your faculty, your employer, your friends and to yourself. The investment you and others have made in your education will be returned many times over, in the level of your performance as a productive and contributing member of our society and in the quality of your life. Suffolk University has an historic commitment to serving the people of the Boston Metropolitan Area and beyond through education. That history has been enriched and strengthened by your presence here. We are grateful for your contribution as a student and look forward to your affiliation as an alumna or alumnus. The Class of 1986 joins a distinguished group of alumni who will forever be identified with Suffolk University and who share the common bond of the Suffolk University experience. Be proud of your alma mater and be confident that you have been well prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
