MESSAGE FOR YEARBOOK - 1975 In this day when the validity of higher education is being questioned as a necessity for lifetime occupation, it is well to remember that employment alone should not be the sole benefit to the individual from the educational process. The ability to investigate intelligently the social and ecological environments in which we live, the opportunity to enjoy and profit from the wisdom of the ages as recorded in the libraries of the world, and the insight to seek enjoyment from within, are more enduring than occupational advancement. I do hope that the Class of 1975 will seek continuously to enrich itself through either formal or informal educational processes in order to enjoy the peace and freedom that knowledge and understanding can impart.
