ppreciation 6 June, 1958 The Class of 1958 Suffolk University Boston, Massachusetts The Beacon of 1958 has been completed. The many hours of planning and revising, of writing and rewriting, of adding and de- leting, are over. As we close these pages, we of The Beacon staff look back on the many months of work with relief that they have passed, mingled with the satisfaction of having set forth our best. If The Beacon of 1958 may be considered a good yearbook, it may also be considered a reflection of the Class which produced it. The Class should be indebted to Hank Selvitella, Gordin King, Gil Wolpe, Celia Letorney, Bob Chevoor, Tony Cocuzzo, Ron- nie Guidice, Bev Carlson and Louise Der- Marderossian, to mention but a few, whose long hours of patient work have brought The Beacon into reality. It should also be indebted to Professor Rand and Miss Dottie McNamara who ad- vised and moderated our course. Lastly, it should be indebted to the entire staff of giving freely of its time and effort in setting down this record of your college years. If, many years hence, when age has shaken those few, sad, last gray hairs, this Beacon has become another source of happy memory, our efforts in your behalf will have been repaid. I m m v.-V

FAREWELL TO THE SENIOR CLASS As in all well-regulated families, we, and you of the Suffolk Family, are about to part, breaking our formal ties, and so, we at Suffolk prayerfully but cheerily say farewell to you, the Seniors of 1958. Go forth with courage and confidence, because you are armed with the knowledge that you have been thoroughly screened and tested, for assignments, to your various chosen fields in the competitive world of economics, politics and religion. You will soon become Alumni of Suffolk University and in the years to come, you will bring a good measure of fame to your Alma Mater because you will have grown in sta- ture in your work-a-day, live-a-day world. With courage, understanding and distinction you have advanced to this Commencement time and are now ready to begin afresh more important work toward the ultimate goals of your lives. Farewell and fare-thee-well.
