Division of science The division of Science includes the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Mathe- matics, and Physics. The courses in this di- vision aim to increase the student ' s fundamen- tal knowledge of his physical and biological environment. The curriculum is designed to prepare Science majors for graduate work in any of these fields, and also to afford the pre- requisite courses for dental and medical schools.

In this division the student is introduced to the problems of man in his society, his govern- ment, his history, and institutions, in order that he may be better equipped to assume his civic responsibilities.
