Harry Of the students, by the students, and for the students—such is the Student Senate at Suffolk High School. Self-government is actually practiced as students conduct their own affairs. Chief among these are sponsoring certain undertakings for the student body, granting charters to new clubs, and making laws by which the students are governed. Those who carry out these duties are representatives, popularly elected by each of the homerooms and honorary members, chosen because of their connection w ith other important school activities. This body meets regularly to do the essential work of student government. We feel that there is no better way to train us to become the better citizens of tomorrow than to give us this wonderful opportunity to develop and grow in the midst of a democratic government of our own. Eh [KV James Foster Jerome Felton Dorothy Hancock
