We follow the ripples that J are continually traveling I outward, searching and 1 seeking new things. ■ With time, these ripples grow and expand, even¬ tually becoming waves ' as we move swiftly on, maturing and becoming more knowledgeable with each passing year. Now we are in the stream and rivers, com¬ ing closer and closer to the time when we must make... that final decision that will shape our lives forever. Soon we will be leaving the security we once felt; 5 doors wijl shut behind us and we will again be thrown into unfamiliar waters. We will find that we have again reached a new beginning, 7 but this time we will have more experience to help us take that initial step into the future. DEDICATION To Mrs. Beatrice Heywood, a guide in the production of the Sagitta for seven years. With deep appreciation we look back on her hard work and enthusiasm as advisor to the yearbook staff. It is with great admiration that we dedicate the 1982 Sagitta to Mrs. Heywood. 10 APPRECIATION We wish to express our deep appreciation to our class advisors, Mrs. Arlene Egolf and Mr. Lawrence Katulka. Sagitta in the year 2007, the Inaugural Ball of Senator RICHARD McCARTY, from upstate New York, is being held. Senator McCarty’s victory is a result of the publicity of advertising executive SHARON SPULICK. Among the guests present are world-renowned architect LARRY SAMPLATSKY and bilingual chemist JANET JOLIE, who has been awarded the Nobel Prize for three consecutive years. Covering the festivities for national television is anchor-person JENNIFER BERTE. The banquet hall is artfully decorated with flowers provided by florist DEBBIE BROWN. As bartender TRACY FLEMING stocks the bar for the evening’s banquet, flautist CALLIE GLASS, whose latest album has just gone platinum, enters the room. She is mobbed by the guests aboard the ship, among whom is journalist DAVID WOODRUFF. David asks Callie various questions about her career, until he is interrupted by the blaring guitars of rock band members TONY LAROSA and RIC BROWN. As additional guests arrive, they are greeted at the door by models SOPHIA THOMAS, CARRIE LEFEBVRE, MARY PEICHERT and SUE OSOWIECKI, who are wearing fashion designer SUE COATTI’s latest greations. The guests are seated and dinner is served. Chef TOM PECK has prepared an elegant banquet. The crowd’s attention has turned to three vacant seats at the head of one table. An aura of expectation takes over the crowd as the low hum of a helicopter is heard above board. After helicopter pilot JOE SANGIOVANNI lands, three persons board the ship. In the banquet hall, all heads turn as business tycoon LORI ARMATA and her two attorneys enter the room. Ms. Armata was recently acquitted in a case involving alleged illegal contributions to the Richard McCarty campaign. Her release is a result of a brilliant defense carried out by lawyers JOHN GALLANT and ELIZA LEVENTIS. Ms. Armata circulates through the hall, thanking the guests who handed down a favorable decision in her trial. She talks to the members of the jury of her peers, business administrators DANNY SULLIVAN, DEBBIE MURZYN, MELISA MARKOWSKI, KAREN MATHER, JOHN BERTOLINI, JULIE THOMPSON, JACKIE STAFFORD, PAUL SKORSKI and TAMMY MAREK. Journalists DAWN CUMMOCK and SUE GRAFF shared a P JJ pefor their investigative reporting The ship’s doctor DUANE LAGLE joins his medical colleagues BOB BRACKETT. LEIGH DUDEK and MICHELE PENDER to talk over all the interesting case histories. Psychologists KASSI ALLEN, TAMMY WATERMAN, NANCY MANN,and JEFF SWEENEY try desperately to solve the social conflicts between Washington and the American people. Recreational coordinators CHRIS KRUEGER and TRACEY day’s activities, as a group of world famous REW HRYNIEWICZ. CHERYL LUMBRUNO. LESLIE MARKOWSKI. DAVID SIMMONS, and TINA VIETS sit in a backroom figuring the expenses for this festive occasion. In the ship’s exhibition hall, LISA VISCOM! and NANCY SHAUGHNESSY hang their latest works, while SCOTT MANDIROLA talks about his many trips to CHRIS MATTRICK’s country inn. Late as usual, TRACY KOPE, a veterinarian, is accompanied by fellow workers SUSAN HAMANN and MARY CYR. The three wander over to the bar where social workers PAULA CHRISTIAN, DEBBIE RENNA and KAREN STOLYNAS are talking about CHRIS DALEY’s latest hair fashions. Engineers CHERYL CAISSE, MIKE DELEEUW, TAMMY KURAS, SUE MARKOWSKI, and ROB COLSON collaborate with machinists BOB DAVIS and JIM ALLEN to design a new space shuttle, which astronaut LISA STOLZENBERG will navigate. She will be accompanied by world travelers BETH ELKINS and KELLY MURPHY. Computational mathematician PAM NORCROSS also agrees to help. As Cosmo’s coach DAVE MERRILL is walking along an upper deck, he loses his footing and trips down a flight of stairs. He is aided by nurses MARY HOUCK, PATTY TSAKIRIS, WENDY SZCZEPANIK and LYNN WADENKLEE.
