Gordon Glover is more than vaguely conscious of the deficiencies of his epoch, however, these deficiencies do not cause him to despair. Rather, they serve to energize him and increase his impulse to ambition and achieve- ment. Throughout his years at Suffield Academy he has given a great deal of himself to the students and the fac- ulty. He is admired by some, held in awe by others, and respected by all. His warmth, friendship and willingness to help are rare qualities which few men pos- sess. He has led us through our hard times. We appreciate this unending faith in us as a class and his respect for us as individuals. We proudly and happily dedicate the 1978 Pioneer , 1 .iw .l. A man lives not only his personal life as an individual, but also, conscioulsy or unconsciously, the life of his epoch or his contempories. He may be vaguely conscious of the deficencies of his epoch or find them prejudicial to his moral well-being.
