result Sufheld s branch of the Brltmore was added on second floor Fuller Sprrng came and thoughts turned to vacatron after a few vrsrts to nearby places of natural interest Krngswood was shocked to hear that The Bear was a veteran of World War Il The Glee Club flowered before MacDuHie and the Octet was a success There after two weeks were spent exchanging passronate letters whrle even a few ventured to attempt to pene trate the walls However Mr Baker soon put an end to these excursions With the comrng of june graduatron and vacatron were seen and with the exception of a few we re turned home As we returned from our last summer vacatron there were marn toprcs of conversation 1 Mr Ralph 2 the summer past 3 new members of the class Was rt true that Howarth used Tmt Hair? Was Smrth actually All Amerrcan9 Were Goose and the Mole really Red agents? all these remamed to be answered The Wipes football team looked good as drd Smrth and Merkle our two most promrsrng addrtrons The Ducks were quackrng on the soccer field and with the addrtron of Rutherford our only all league player the soccer team looked good The loss of Leo was not notrced until well IHIO the dormrtory staff the term progressed The State had some good shows and the Depot was quite oblrgrng and then rt hrt the biggest Purge rn our history The Bear met Ap on an evenrng stroll The Anrmal and Eddre almost ended up rn Cathedral Ferg and the boys were entertarnrng and Super Snooper crashed Dr Byam considered church dances to be good for the socral lrfe we preferred Pierre That was the nrght Ap went rrngrng doorbells and found no one home However Fat Cat took 15 mmutes to get there the next day The Senror dance came along and was qurte successful thanks to the work of Alsop jobes and company The lrghts rn H House went off momentarily and no one was surprised when rt was learned that Arrrngton had blown a fuse The Bear began hrs momentous fight vs the Boot and the whole class pulled wrth hrm 55 Chevy convertibles were learnmg the way to New York by heart A fire drrll was staged whrch broke up qurte a few Pierre Partres and rt became apparent that Hrll was the most casual of us all Westie took up smoking to calm hrs nerves and when Dave drew blood Mr Baker gained one of hrs most valuable members along with Sarge and Braz The school gathered en masse for a rumble one nrght only to lrsten to a lecture delivered by one of the town's more promrsrng young hoods The nrghtwatchman drd not enjoy peanut butter as much as everyone else but Long was qurte persistent joe and Pat somehow drd not qurte hrt rt off and as a result Suffield s foremost love affair dwindled and died The Winter term came and so drd the Yellow Bomber Prnkys basketball team looked good espe crally after the wrrte up prarsrng the team and blast rng the Bear Dewey was hobblmg around but hrs hockey team was rollrng College Boards came and Fort Dix looked nearer than ever With everyone rn trarnrng Ernre found rt harder than ever to drg up a butt Breastre was burnrng up the rntramurals whrle Duell was busy tellrng us how to swrm Chewing tobacco made rts appearance on the campus and was wrdely used As Mrd Years past we left for our small break Wrllre spent the four days srngrng rn The Crty The Anrmal watched trams rn Grand Central Bear was taken as Scott ran a hotel Mothers became more of a threat than ever they now walked to trarn statrons The Loomrs basketball game was a well lubrrcated one as we pulled out a narrow vrctory Then rt hrt The Bug It knocked out great hoards of students and even spread to the jungle As second floor Fuller moved out Mrss Spellman moved rn Between leadrng servrces for Frenchie and Owl she managed to marntarn order and deprecate the krtchen s results More people became cognrzant of the actual feel rngs after the Mt Hermon game but the heat of anger was soon assuaged by mrlk shakes However mrlk shakes were not enough as the Pawlrng A 8: P proved Ruth Muth returned wrth tales of student nurses and drfhcultres presented by a nose cast The Torch Club had rts electrons as some of the best men and most srncere of all were elected It was about thrs trme that the butt room was baptrzed by fire two tres 18 Trme magazrnes and one pair of pants worth and only due to Smith and Brown s courageous frre department efforts was rt saved The Columbra Record Club plastic record bags proved more effective than Hungary s gasolrne bombs and whrle the butt room was baptrzed by fire Sadre was baptrzed by Bear Seven and one half pound boxes began to drsap pear but soon reappeared rn the stomachs of second floor Fuller The week before Sprrng Vacatron was a memorable one there were only 17 238 peppers rn the meals and due to rnadequate athletrc changes Ferg never took hrs clothes off all week Hrll lost hrs harr gamed S30 and Sandy Brddre and Jungle jim fell vrctrm to the next torrent of Columbra s best bags So as we close out thrs final Wrnter Term we look forward expectantly to two definrte occurrences cold cuts for Sunday supper and graduatron 5 . 1 ' . y ' 1 ' 5 . , . ? . l 1 ' . 3 - - r ,, . ,, . . .. ,Z . , . . v . l , . . l . , s ' ' , . , - . , . the term, but with the addition of Super Snooper to , , . . , - , 9 . . , . n 1 . , I N ' I 7 I 9 I ' l 9 , .
