It is the intellectual spirit, inspiring the student to persist in the quest for knowledge. It is the spirit of human fellowship, cultivating lasting friendships, and it is the creative spirit which continually unfolds in the realm of progress. Cmias $ue gennett This is the spirit of two sisters, who gave more than time and energy to the establishment and growth of this institution--they gave life itself. This spirit was not buried with them, but under the guidance of our administra- tors and faculty throughout the years, has gained im- mortality for Sue and Belle Bennett. It is the creative spirit which dreams of progress in the years that lie ahead. Although the college is a project related to the Board of Missions of the Methodist Church, Sue Bennett College has from its beginning found its way into the lives of young men and women from all denominations and be- liefs. The college has served students representing various states and countries from the far corners of our earth. gHHiaaa 382112 Emmett ; an, , Greaii iig 1p, a clash 7 rim ntelleti, 31 ii, $13k EARL F. Mrs. Griffin is a charter member of the Board of Trustees at Sue Bennett College and has worked tirelessly in helping the college to develop long-range plans for the over-all campus development program. She has served on the Building and Grounds Committee and has attended every session of the Board since it was organized. Through the generosity of Mrs. Griffin and her family, several students have received scholarships at this institu- tion and other nearby institutions. Without the aid from the Griffin family, it would have been almost impossible for these students to receive their college education. All those who have had the privilege of working with her have found her to be a devoted mother, an unselfish neighbor, 'an active civic-minded club member, and a true Christian. Her church work will long be remembered. Mrs. Griffin is a person Who has always shown concern for other people. Sue Bennett College is greatly indebted to Mrs. Griffin for. the support she has given during the many years she has lived in London.
