Student Council officers: james Moore, Parliamentarian, Pat Hanlon, Secretary, Paul Watts, President, Ken Weiand, Vice- President. The Student Council is the Government for the student body as a whole. It makes decisions, arranges activities, and handles financing for the improved use of extracurricular time. The sponsor of the Student Council is Bro. Ephrem O'Bryan O.S.B., he helps the students get through Parliamentary procedure. The student Council consists of four members from each class, and an Executive Committee which is elected by the students. Reporters were sought outside of the class to involve more students in their paper and to encourage prospective members for the class. With regular deadlines, and an established routine for determining which stories would be printed, the Periscope attempted to chronicle life at Subiaco for the student body and alumni. They are chosen by the faculty on a ballot Beaman. Standin THE BLUE ARRGW Subiaco's Blue Arrow is similar to a welcome wagon. This organizations primary function is to give tours to prospective students and their parents. However, upon occasion these tours may be given to other interested parties. The Blue Arrow members can answer almost any question about Subiaco and its history. Above all, they can talk about the school from their personal experiences giving insights on the lifestyle. They are always on call to give tours and are responsible for any tours during 79 open house.
