, Dear Graduates: H V During a recent discussion friends told me they would ' Y 2? not consider having children if they E were getting married in 1976. They explained their feelings by stating that their children, if born, would probably grow up into a society worse than they themselves are experiencing today. There would be more crime, pollution, infla- tion, famine, unemployment, rising costs of education, and global tension. Hopefully, the disillu- sionment expressed by my contemporaries is not shared by the members of the Stuyvesant class of 1977. All of us look to you, and succeeding gen- erations of intelligent young men and women, to help make the world better for all humanity. This is a responsiblity with which we charge you. I know that as graduates of one of the best high schools in the country you will be capable of meeting this challenge. ,am Sincerely, Atufw-3-41 UP! ' Harold M. Dear Seniors: I am happy to have grown with you since I officially began my job when many of you began your careers at Stuyvesant. I have enjoyed watch- ing you develop into the capable, mature students you are today. You have improved the tone of Stuyvesant by your eagerness and love for the school. Members of your class have strengthened both the curricular and extra-curricular activi- ties in our school. I want to wish all of you the best success in life, knowing that you have the capabilities to continue improving everything you are involved in. Good luck to all. Sincerely, Murray Kahn Assistant Principal Administration Murray Kahn .
